Why SWABUD exists

Opportunities shouldn't depend on which group chat you are in

Hackathons, CTFs, fellowships, scholarships and events for students are announced across Facebook posts, college notice boards, Discord servers and dozens of websites. Students miss deadlines, cannot tell real calls from scams, and often don't know where to start, especially outside Kathmandu valley.

SWABUD collects these opportunities, checks each one against its official source, writes it up in one clear format, and keeps it updated until it closes. Then it helps you act: save it, plan your application, and get reminded before the deadline.

Our name carries our promise: Discover what's out there, Connect with the people and communities behind it, and Grow the skills to be chosen.

What we do

Six things SWABUD does for students

124 listings across 8 categories, 84 of them confirmed free, plus learning paths, career guides and a personal dashboard.

Finds opportunities

We watch official platforms, college notices, community pages and organizer announcements for hackathons, CTFs, fellowships, scholarships, events, courses, volunteering and student programmes.

Checks them at the source

A post is only a lead. A listing goes live after we confirm the organizer, eligibility, dates, format, cost and the real application link on the official page.

Keeps them up to date

Statuses and countdowns switch by themselves in Nepal time: Opens in, Open, Closing soon, Happening now and Closed. We recheck open listings every week.

Helps you apply

Members save opportunities, track each application from Saved to Accepted, keep a checklist and notes, and get a heads-up before deadlines.

Builds your skills

Free learning paths and practical career guides, from your first CV to hackathon prep and spotting fake offers.

Connects the community

Partner communities, campus ambassadors and organizers across Nepal, so opportunities reach students outside the big cities too.
